CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

CRPS is a condition where people have extreme pain and suffering in one particular region of their body. It often starts after that part of the body has an accident or injury, though sometimes that is not the case. Patients may be misdiagnosed, undertreated, overtreated, or wrongly treated for years.

Often the area that has the severe pain can be very tender to the touch and sufferers may even have trouble using that part of the body or putting clothes on themselves. It often affects the extremities, such as the hands and feet.

Sometimes it can be red and warm to the touch.

The unifying theme for sufferers is extreme pain to the point where they are significantly disabled. Patient's can even report wanting to cut that part of the body off. Unfortunately, once patients reach Dr. Sharon, sometimes patients have become addicted to painkillers and their lives have dramatically gotten worse since the pain began. CRPS is not easy to treat, but Dr. Sharon has years of experiencing improving sufferers of CRPS lives' and can offer new and exciting therapies.
