Cluster Headache

Cluster headache is a severe disabling type of headache that is famous for being the worst type of pain someone can experience in their life.

It occurs more often in men and can occur several times a day, often for prolonged periods of time.

The pain is severe and excruciating and people cannot sit still when they have this type of pain. It is on one side of the head and is often around the eyes and accompanies by tearing, stuffy or runny nose, falling of the eyelid or other signs. Patients are completely incapacitated when experiencing this pain.

Dr. Sharon is a leading expert in the treatment of cluster headache and incorporates both existing and new medications in the treatment of cluster headache.

In addition to the standard treatments such as Oxygen, Sumatriptan, Verapamil, Prednisone, Lithium and Depalept, Dr. Sharon can often recommend newer oral therapies, clinical trials at Tel Hashomer where he is director of headache and facial pain, nerve blocks, medical marijuana, and neuromodulation devices (Gammacore).
