Neck and Back pain are one of the most common forms of pain and can affect anyone at any age. The pain can range from mild and not significant to making someone completely disabled and unable to function daily. Patients can experience pain anywhere in the back though most often the pain is situated in the neck and the lower back. Neck pain can sometimes manifest as shooting pains in the arms and hands as well as numbness, tingling or weakness. Lower back pain can sometimes shoot down one or both thighs, legs or feet causing pain, numbness, tingling or weakness.
Symptoms of neck pain and back pain can include:

There are many causes for back pain with some of the most common being disc bulges and herniated discs in the lumbar spine. Back pain can often be the result of injury to the back (work injury, accident e.t.c), poor posture, weak muscles, or other causes.
There are many treatments available for back pain which can range from simple medications, to injections, to alternative therapies, to infusions, to stretching, physical therapy and muscle strengthening, to surgery.
