About Medical Marijuana

New York State allows for the use of medical marijuana in the following conditions: cancer, HIV infection or AIDS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury with spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathy, Huntington's disease, post-traumatic stress disorder or chronic pain.

There has been a growing trend for certified specialists to certify and prescribe medical marijuana for patients. Medical marijuana is a good option for those suffering from neurological and emotional pain. It is a natural holistic remedy that improves quality of life from those suffering any of the above ailments.

Based on your history and evaluation, you may be a likely candidate for this treatment. After your certification, you may register online with New York State, and you will be provided with a list of local dispensaries. These dispensaries distribute the marijuana for you. At the current time, marijuana is available in tablets, lozenges, oils and liquid for vaporizer smoking, patches, effervescent tablets and other lotions.

The use of cannabis (marijuana) for purposes of healing predates recorded history. There is data that suggests that it was used in a widespread fashion 10,000 years ago. Cannabis can be dispensed at various CBD: THC ratios. Both CBD and THC have positive therapeutic effect. In our offices, we leave the formulation and ratio type of the marijuana in your control, and at the discretion of the dispensary.
